Nate Diaz destroys Conor Mc Gregor to win UFC 196

Understandably, given the hundreds of Irish fans in attendance, McGregor received a warm welcome when he appeared last, but far from least, at the UFC 196 weigh-ins. It was clear that McGregor's barbs were getting at Diaz, who grew increasingly flustered and struggled to muster replies that went beyond a barrage of expletives. He was aiming to win the 155-pound lightweight belt and become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz almost came to blows on Thursday following the UFC 196 pre-fight press conference.

McGregor was originally supposed to be in a super fight with Rafael Dos Anjos, but as we all know, RDA dropped out from a broken foot. During the face-off, Diaz put his fist in McGregor's face, and the featherweight champ slapped it away, which led to security having to intervene.

Diaz was named as a late replacement for Dos Anjos, and since then, he and McGregor have never stopped trading barbs even before the two faced off in the Octagon.

"I'm just giggling at his little soft body", he said. How will McGregor react if the fights gets to the third or fourth rounds and Diaz is still there talking smack and hitting him from range?

"I like Robbie. I won't say a bad word about Robbie". Stop this.'"I've hunted him down".

As soon as the UFC confirmed that Nate Diaz was going to fight Conor McGregor, "this is going to be crazy" was stated around the world. I respect him as a champion, as a man that drifted off, came back, stayed on it and rose up as the welterweight champion.

"That is an appealing one for me, the welterweight [title]".

We'll see if Diaz can avoid the same fate Saturday night.
