Doctor Who: Face The Raven review
Tonight's episode is expected to be the last for Jenna Coleman's character of Clara Oswald. In reality, she'd made a contract with a yet-to-be-identified "they" who agreed to let Rigsy go if Me delivered the Doctor to them.
In "Face the Raven", Coleman's companion, Clara Oswald and The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) were contacted by an old friend, Rigsy (Joivan Wade, first seen in last season's "Flatline").

For the Clara fans out there, her sudden-death may have come as a surprise. It's Jenna Coleman's finest hour on the show, right up there with the (imagined) destruction of the TARDIS keys last season following Danny's death. It is as if the Twelfth Doctor has stood trial throughout his run as we struggle to determine if he is a good man. How much responsibility does he bear for the chaos he leaves in his wake?
"And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country". [Photo by Mark Kolbe/Getty Images]Doctor Who fans worldwide have spent time speculating about the series finale since it was announced that past companion River Song would be making a return appearance. As Clara herself said, the Doctor is going to be alone for a while. There's the teleport bracelet-what would happen if you teleported someone in stasis, at the exact moment that the "quantum shade" attacked them? It's a common thing for whole streets to go missing, like a trap street, though that was originally thought to be some sort of copyright infringement. It was all a ploy to lure The Doctor to Trap Street and... well, trap him. One has to wonder, if that is the case, how the TARDIS would react to Ashildr should they meet. We know it's over.
Moffat, 54, rejected fears that the show's 8.10pm start was too early to screen Clara's final moments.
Now, that doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on the other three, at least not exactly. The Doctor also does operate with far more extensive knowledge than that of his companion, and with that a greater awareness of when he needs to pause and learn more before deciding to act.

This may well be part of the root of the Tenth Doctor's rueful quote: "I'm rubbish at weddings, especially my own". Evidently she liked how that felt when she tried it on.
We see that this street is not actually filled with humans, but camouflaged aliens from all across the universe and some are the Doctor's enemies including Sontarans and Cybermen.
Villordsutch reviews Doctor Who Series 9 Episode 10 - "Face the Raven"... They find a map and then Clara hangs outside the TARDIS with the sonic sunglasses scanning the streets. No, the potential problem with the episode's magical elements is more one of reliability. As if to rub salt in the wound, the episode has a post-credit scene of Rigsy offering a memorial to Clara. Still, the acting is strong enough for us to feel the emotional stakes of the characters' decisions, even when they are built around such fantastical elements. Please be aware if you haven't already seen the episode, there are huge, huge spoilers ahead. This is their bravest and best quality and "Face the Raven" rose to the occasion. However, that does not mean that other questions surrounding Clara have been answered.
While The Doctor interrogates the locals, Clara comes up with a possible strategy based on the fact that the executed man's wife had begged him to pass along the chronolock tattoo to her. Apparently, someone afflicted with the tattoo can pass it along to a willing new host.
When is Doctor Who on television this weekend?
She risked her life to save the Time Lord, resulting in a million versions of her living and dying all over time and space. She tells him. Remember that the Doctor was told in Into The Dalek that he'd make an excellent Dalek? She has brought a spark of humanity to Doctor Who, a woman who teaches in a school first and travels in time second. The Doctor blames himself, but Clara tells him that she made this choice. But she does. We're going to be expecting big things from this incredibly talented teen. So yeah, I'm a little suspicious. However, Clara has put herself at death's doorstep plenty of times, and The Doctor got her out of it. The expectation is that The Doctor will be able to do it again.
Clara was a troubled person from the beginning.
