Rise of The Tomb Raider's First DLC Baba Yaga Release Date Revealed

Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One DLC release date confirmed by Microsoft

The expansion's official description reads: "This adventure expands the story of the main campaign with Lara facing deadly new adversaries, exploring a new puzzle-filled tomb, and solving a decades-old mystery, all culminating in a showdown with an ancient and mythic evil".

The first story driven DLC for last year's critically acclaimed "Rise of the Tomb Raider" called "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" will be available on January 26, according to Microsoft Studios. Microsoft reckons the add-on will offer up "hours of additional gameplay".

The DLC will be available for purchase separately, and will also be included in the season pass. The price for non-season pass holders has not been revealed as of yet. Another expansion titled "Cold Darkness Awakens" is set to release sometime later this year.

The Temple of the Witch will be released on the 26th of January for the Xbox One. If so, are you planning to pick up this DLC? If not, what can convince you to return to the game?

Crystal Dynamics has added new Windows 10-specific features to the game, including 4K resolution support - and Rise of the Tomb Raider will be the first game ever to include cutting-edge VXAO technology, developed in partnership with NVIDIA.

Depending on their proclivity for all things Tomb Raider, PC owners can experience Rise of the Tomb Raider in three separate editions of the game, which we've detailed below.

The previous Tomb Raider didn't have any kind of story DLC, which was a real shame since it was an excellent title and it was very well received by the community.
