ARROW The Fourth Season Continues; Watch Mid-Season Teaser!

Extended Arrow Trailer and Legends of Tomorrow Preview Debut

Another jumped into active wires on his own, but I don't know if the text made clear if Oliver had broken his no-kill rule yet. Yea, you helped him do that. This clearly disturbs Thea, and who can blame her? She blames herself for what happened to Machin and creating a blood-lusting him. Felicity says, "I'd go anywhere with you". Quentin tells her the CSI team got a match on the bloody anarchy symbol, Lonnie Machin's foster parents. We find out that he's become a bit obsessed with Speedy. Oh, now you care about setting loose homicidal maniacs?

Thea's shot doesn't hit him. Oliver knocks him out as he stands around. Anarky actually has much more to do here, and I actually really enjoyed his exasperate confusion over Team Arrow's confused stance on whether or not they actually wanted to lock him up or not. And this seemed like an interesting way to go. He's chided by his friends as to why he's not visiting his fiancée but at this point, they all seem to just say "That's Ollie!" and let him be. Diggle confronts his brother for answers while everyone else tries to do what they can to avenge Felicity.

As much as I really, really don't want to see Diggle written off the show (death is negotiable on Arrow, right?), I am much more interested in this scenario - i.e. Diggle's death or apparent death - than any of the others. Oliver finally arrives at the hospital where Donna tells him the news, the doctors can't fix Felicity. She will never walk again. A report came that Anarky had been apprehended by the police and is seen on TV. Reiter stops Conklin, recognizing that he needs Oliver to finish whatever mission he is on. Damien Darhk may still be the most evil villain of Arrow so far, and he’s certainly much scarier than his wife, but she may be able to fly under the radar enough that she can use her wits to enact major damage to the good guys. He asks Laurel to give him the room so he can interrogate him.

Definitely a few kinks here and there, as Oliver's ultimate confrontation with Damien Darhk ended up strangely fizzling out, but this was a very solid return overall. Oliver makes sure that Thea is okay. This was even followed by a promo directly after that seemed to hint that Felicity was the one who dies, complete with them showing her in surgery and then showing Oliver putting his hand on the grave in the flash forward. Darhk has signed his death warrant many times over.

This episode also brought us a desperate peek at the flashfoward that revealed a mystery grave, as Oliver vows to kill "him" (we're assuming Darhk, but who knows?) for knocking off whoever is six feet under. "There'll be some fallout for both of them". But at least they are trying to approach this new challenge from a character standpoint, rather than go for shock value.

They tie Anarky up in a warehouse. Anarky escapes and Ollie and Thea split up to find him.

Blood Debts continues directly after the events of the midseason finale from back in December that saw Oliver reveal to the public that Damian Darhk was the man behind the Ghosts that have plagued their city. Last year, the mid-season finale left us with a cliffhanger that didn't resolve in a way that quite met expectations.

In an island flashback, Oliver is locked in a prison cell with the woman he's protecting. In future episodes, we're really going to be seeing Felicity try to maintain that level of optimism, but she's the one living with it and experiencing it in a direct way.

Ten bucks Alex turns out to be Damien Darhk's son. If Malcolm and Damien killed someone close to Team Green Arrow, it would be upsetting but expected.

At the hospital, Oliver apologizes again for not visiting sooner.
