Sarah Palin: Trump 'would let our warriors do their job'

Donald Trump would send American "warriors" to "kick ISIS's ass", former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin said on Tuesday as she threw her support behind the controversial Republican presidential contender. Whether it was her surprise selection as the 2008 vice presidential nominee, her abrupt 2009 resignation as governor of Alaska, her declaration that Obamacare had "death panels"-which led to the summer of discontent-or her endorsement of Donald Trump for President on Tuesday, Palin has proven adept at hijacking, irking and outraging the "lamestream media", as she calls them".

With Trump by her side, Palin praised him as a candidate who has shaken up the Republican Party. "Are you ready for the leader to make America great again?", "Are you ready to stump for Trump?"

Palin's endorsement speech combined the folksy charm and everywoman appeal that initially made her a GOP superstar with defiant taunting of a "busted" GOP establishment that she slammed for counting both Trump and herself out.

Earlier in this campaign Trump had no kind words for senator John McCain, who picked Palin to be his running mate in 2008, capitulating her to national fame. "Heads are spinning. Media heads are spinning", Palin said with glee, circling her right index finger around.

Sarah Palin is finally endorsing Donald Trump, giving Ted Cruz a crashing blow. "Who are they to tell us that we're not conservative enough?..." Despite their divorce, she said, "We are on speaking terms".

Of course, Trump mocked McCain's war record in Iowa last summer and Palin stepped around that. "Like you guys haven't tried to do that everyday since that night in '08 when I was on stage nominated for VP and I got to say, 'Yeah, I'll go, send me, you betcha, I'll serve!' And like you all, I'm still standin"!"

Palin tweeted the line, as did Trump's campaign manager.

In her folksy, free-associative rhetorical style, Palin rattled off a number of conservative priorities in rapid succession that she said Trump would help accomplish - including the need to project United States strength and the need to secure the USA border. "So, you know, if I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job".

I couldn't disagree with her more but she has played the game now for years.

Speaking with another officer, Track Palin's girlfriend said she had threatened to call the police to keep her boyfriend from touching her. At one point he punched her in the head. ABC's Tom llamas is there on the campaign trail in Norwalk, Iowa.

Joe Brettell, a Republican strategist in Texas, said he thought Ms Palin would not help Mr Trump much "beyond a jolt in the news cycle".

Vaclav said he came to Tuesday's event to hear Trump for himself.

Collaboration of trumps with Palin is considered the attempt of the New Yorker to outdo Cruz. She is a friend, and a high quality person whom I have great respect for.
