Rousey to host 'Saturday Night Live'

Ultimate Fighting Championship superstar Ronda Rousey can add another item to her growing resume: Saturday Night Live host. For the show's January 16 return, they've tapped Girls and Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Adam Driver to host and country musician Chris Stapleton as musical guest.

Holly Holm's upset win against Ronda Rousey is the reason why she's been offered a contract extension by the UFC. This could be an indication that "Holm vs Rousey 2" may not happen until the third quarter of this year as the current champion will go up against another opponent. For Rousey, you are picking someone who is a big star in the moment, even despite a recent loss, who also has a little bit of acting experience already. It will be the first time hosting the iconic late-night sketch comedy show for the former Olympic medalist. According to Fox Sports, "Rousey finally is showing her mug in public, not much worse for wear, alongside boyfriend and fellow fighter Travis Browne".

Rousey and Holm are penciled in for a rematch, which is rumored to be at UFC 200.

Over the weekend, Holm's longtime manager, Lenny Fresquez, confirmed with ESPN.com that Holm has inked a multiyear contract extension to remain with the UFC.

Cyborg said that she was no longer interested in pursuing a fight with Ronda Rousey, instead stating that if Rousey wanted a piece of her, she would have to do the pursuit.

Two-thousand and fifteen was the year Ronda Rousey conquered the world-and was conquered by her conquests.

Holm - who is undefeated in her mixed martial arts (MMA) career - (10-0, 3-0 UFC) did acknowledge the announcement, but refused to divulge any details regarding it.
