Eli Manning's take on Peyton's Super Bowl legacy

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) speaks with Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson following the AFC Championship game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots, Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, in Denver.

"Don't feel bad for me, we'll be all right", he said. "So it sure has been a pleasure". I'm proud of the effort we all put in to prepare for each game as if it were our last. The quarterback is not the sole reason that you win a championship.

Remmers said he's faced a couple of other speed rushers similar to Miller, including Seattle's Cliff Avril and Atlanta's Vic Beasley, who beat Remmers to get a strip-sack against Newton at the end of the Panthers' lone loss this season.

Eli added that Peyton's impact on the game of football has been built over the course of his entire 19-year career. "He has kind of, in a lot of ways, changed the game with the no-huddle offense they had in Indianapolis for so long. Going into those types of games, you can't not play your best because you're playing the best team you've played all year", he said.

"I think I kind of think like everybody else where you see this as possibly being the last game [for Peyton]", Eli Manning told reporters in a conference call (via giants.com).

"I hope he can win, but his impact has already been made and his legacy, I don't think it should be affected by this one game".

"The 2015 season culminates in Super Bowl 50", the note reads.

Following the AFC championship game, Tom Brady, who like Anderson, was unheralded coming out of college singled out Anderson as one of the bright young stars he's had a chance to watch. Only about 20 percent of people will survive for at least five years following a diagnosis of late-stage disease. He didn't know how this season was going to play out, or if he would play again this season. It was the Patriots' lowest-scoring output in a playoff game since Denver's 26-16 win in the 2013 divisional round.

However, if the National Football League were to find that there's any legitimacy to the HGH allegations, Manning's legacy would certainly take a hit regardless of what happens against the Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
