Optus release hot pre-order deals on Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL free Xbox One

Lumia 950 and 950 XL go on preorder starting today on Amazon, Reliance Digital stores and Microsoft Priority sellers.

The XL has a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 810 processor, the same cameras, Qi wireless charging support, USB Type-C, and a 3,340 mAh battery. Both feature 3GB RAM. The 5.2-inch Lumia 950 is free over the life of the contract, while the 5.7-inch 950 XL is an additional $4 per month. The all-new Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL are priced at Rs 43,699 and Rs 49,399 respectively. The company is also throwing in a free Microsoft Display Dock as well.

In terms of processing power, both devices are well placed to take on the competition.

Pre-orders of Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will earn some Australians a 1TB-packed Xbox One, bundled with Federation Internationale de Football Association 16. Both devices feature nearly the same hardware so one can also expect a similar experience.

Microsoft have done a lot right with the phone, and we hope to get hands-on for you before Christmas - the 950XL retails at $1,129 from the Microsoft Store at AU$1,129 and should ship by December 8, while the Lumia 950 retails for $999.00 but won't be shipping until December 18th according to the store. Continuum relies a great deal on universal apps, which are basically apps scaled up for PC and vice-versa. Microsoft also announced that the Lumia 950 XL will feature liquid cooling technology. Microsoft said storage on the phones could be extended to up to 2 terabytes using a memory card. In terms of camera, both come with 20MP rear snapper along with triple LED flash and a fifth generation OIS.

The new Lumia 950 phones also come with Windows Hello, an automatic biometric sign-in option introduced earlier this year.
