Buick LaCrosse shatters expectations

Buick has remedied that and has premiered at the Los Angeles Auto Show the 2017 Buick LaCrosse that gets premium luxury on point with a few pizzazz.

Buick has confirmed the all-new 2017 LaCrosse sedan, with a preview of its Avenir concept-inspired design cues. "You have much more interior space, lovely styling, we've lowered the overall height by about two inches, swept back, very sporty with a brand new 3-point-6 litre V-6 powertrain". It is also built on a stronger yet lighter structure, so it weighs about 300 pounds less than its predecessor.

Instead of the LaCross's new 3.6-litre direct injection petrol V6, which produces 227kW of power and 363Nm of torque and is aided by idle-stop technology, 2018 Commodore is expected to be available exclusively with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. In the end, Buick chose to play it safe, going for the classic, traditional style - for which the automaker is known for. According to Buick, the new suspension setup helps reduce roll center motion, enabling positive lateral control and excellent dynamic stability.

The current generation Buick LaCrosse is an agreeable and inoffensive vehicle that doesn't do much in the way of exuding a lot of inspiration. Up front, the LaCrosse will come standard with a MacPherson-strut suspension and Buick's HiPer Strut suspension is used on the front-wheel drive models.

"The new LaCrosse is drop-dead gorgeous and signals the next phase of Buick's worldwide momentum", said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick. "Its unique combination of quietness, comfort and connectivity sets new standards in the segment, supported by technologies not offered by competitors like Lexus".
