Beyond Good and Evil 2 is Allegedly a Nintendo NX Exclusive

Nintendo steps in to fund Beyond Good and Evil 2 as NX exclusive, report claims

Maier passed on the document given to him to Destructoid, who reached out to a second source that gave a number of the same bullet points regarding the future of Beyond Good & Evil, adding weight to the rumor.

If rumours are to be believed, then the Beyond Good and Evil 2 game will soon be out.

Hopefully there is some truth to the rumors, as fans of Beyond Good & Evil have been waiting to see what happens next in the story since the original released in 2003.

It looks like Nintendo are stepping in to save Beyond Good & Evil 2 in the same way they did Bayonetta 2, according to a report published by Destructoid. The Beyond Good & Evil news comes from an inside source with a reliable history, dropping information on Pokémon and Microsoft's IllumiRoom project before they were officially announced. However, it's also true that third party games typically do poorly on the Wii U so it's possible that Beyond Good & Evil 2, and any other third party games, may suffer the same fate on the NX.

Bayonetta 2 may have never been made if it weren't for Nintendo to come in and help fund its development. Nintendo funded the game in order to secure it as an exclusive on the company's upcoming system, the codenamed Nintendo NX.

Beyond Good and Evil 2, the sequel which has been in development hell for years without ever getting outright cancelled, is apparently getting revived by Nintendo as an NX game. Which is why we grasp desperately at rumors, like the one circulating today. Since the Nintendo NX is expected to launch later this year, it means the sequel is not going to be a launch title for the console.
