Honor 5X With Fingerprint Scanner Launched At Rs. 12999 & Honor Holly 2 Plus At Rs. 8499

What are you getting with the Honor 5X?

The specifications are straight up mid-tier and do not scream for attention, except for the aluminum alloy casing in which the Honor 5X is clad in.

Eyeing 300% growth in its India smartphone sales, Chinese telecom major Huawei on Thursday launched two new 4G phones under the Honor brand. The smartphone will come equipped with "an Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box", and "an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected".

In terms of specs, the Honor 5X features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The Huawei Honor 5X is a dual SIM smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. The device can charge up to 50 percent battery in 30 minutes with its Quick Charge 3.0. Under the hood, the Honor 5X runs on a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (four cores at 1.5GHz and four cores at 1.2GHz) clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU.

The 5.5-inch display is also 1080p. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Honor 5X's rear-camera is a 13MP camera, while the front selfie-snapper is the typical 5MP. The device houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 22mm wide-angle, 4P Lens, Blue Glass filter and a shooting range of 88 degrees. Honor 5X is a no nonsense smartphone that delivers all the essentials want from a smartphone. This phone has internal storage of 16GB which can be further enhanced upto 128GB via microSD card. The company noted the warranty will remain valid even if the smartphone is rooted.
