Although we kind of expected Xiaomi to release two Mi5 versions with 3GB and 4GB RAM, respectively, new info leaked about the smartphone reveals the Chinese company has something else in mind.
The information is supplied by an industry insider from China and the accuracy of the news is yet to be seen. The phone will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with MIUI 7 on top, and we hope a Marshmallow update comes out soon.
According to a new report coming from Chinese blog MyDrivers, Xiaomi will launch two different Mi5 versions, and not just based on the amount of memory inside. The native storage of this variant is speculated as 32 GB. An early Oppomart listing back in December 2015 pegged the Xiaomi Mi 5 to cost users $559, but was taken down.
