The barrage of tweets was sparked on Tuesday night after Khalifa criticized West for naming his upcoming album "Waves", a name that Khalifa felt belonged to rapper Max B.

"Khalifa quickly pointed out that the "KK" he was referring to was not Kim Kardashian, but, in fact, weed and added 'I been smashed the idea of that album even existing".

In the midst of West's rant, Khalifa clarified that "KK" meant weed.

Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa exchanged some harshly-worded tweets on Wednesday afternoon.

He must have been going a little batty that Khalifa, who has 23.4 million followers to his 17.7 million, was more interested in getting stoned and had bailed on their Twitter war. Rose said she was not surprised Kanye brought her son into it and called the rapper a "f-king clown".

"I wouldn't have said anything if it was just between him and Wiz", she adds. Soon, Khalifa, 28, began criticizing the album title.

Kanye finally ended his Twitter rant with a thank you for the extra promotion for "Waves" and that "all I want is peace and positive energy".

West also used the hashtag #wizwearscoolpants and his wife's crying "Kimoji" during the attack.
