As far as Rousey is concerned, White promises that she will return to the Octagon soon but gave no exact date for her next bout.
Dana White has confirmed that Holly Holm is not facing Ronda Rousey next, but that doesn't mean anything's changed, in terms of the latter's plans to fight again. Holm has previously expressed her desire to square off against Tate and believes that the 29-year-old deserves a title shot. However, Holm has stated that she does not want to wait that long to fight again because she wants to maintain her competitive edge.
Aside from her stint as host of Saturday Night Live, Rousey will also be on the cover of EA Sports' "UFC 2" along with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.
"Holly Holm will fight before she fights Ronda", White revealed, speaking on UFC Tonight. "I haven't had one business conversation with her since her fight".
According to Holm's manager and promoter Lenny Fresquez, they would like a match against Miesha Tate. White offered no details about Holm's next fight on the broadcast and offered no information afterward when questioned by Yahoo Sports. The former undefeated champion is now serving a six month's suspension following her brutal lost to the new title holder, Holm.
The 34-year-old went on shock the world after delivering a brutal head kick knockout on "Rowdy", giving Rousey her first career loss. The only question that remains now is: Who will she face? She's scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on January 23; maybe then she'll talk about her rematch with Holly Holm. "That's all I can verify right now". She has won four straight, most recently defeating Jessica Eye via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 16.
