In our limited usage over the past couple of days, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite managed to impress us in more than one way.

Expanding its smartphone portfolio, Coolpad has launched its new smartphone - the Note 3 Lite - in India. It is tagged at the price of INR 6,999 and one can get it on the popular online Giant "Amazon".

Once again, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite will be up for registrations via Amazon and its first flash sale will be held on January 28 at 2 pm.

The Note 3 Lite sports an all-plastic body much like its bigger sibling. A single speaker is placed towards the bottom of the rear, and the fingerprint sensor is just below the rear camera.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite takes on a slew of high-specced budget Android smartphones such as the InFocus M350, Meizu m2 and Canvas Pulse 4G.

With the only smartphone to offer a 3GB RAM under Rs. 10,000, the smartphone market has become a lot tougher for other device makers.

The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner that can unlock your screen in less than 0.5 seconds and you can add upto five fingerprints on your device.

Speaking on the occasion LI Bin, CEO, Coolpad Group said, "We are proud to announce that, by the first quarter of 2016, we will start manufacturing Coolpad Note 3 from Videocon's Aurangabad factory". "We intend to launch these (wearables) in India in 2016". To store all the files, apps, music, videos etc.it bears 16GB of storage on the board with external memory expandable up to 64GB. Coolpad's Cool UI 6.0 software overlay is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is fairly straightforward.

While the company plans to bring Coolpad wearables devices to India, there is no information as to when exactly it will launch its first wearable gadget here.

The company says to have sold over 1,50,000 units of Coolpad Note 3 in India.
