But this Christmas, Joey is hoping for a miracle from God-that she might live long enough to witness her daughter Indiana's second birthday next February. "No amount of pain or medicine can touch it".
Because the song was so important to her dear friend, Joey said it only seemed fitting for her to be a part of the music video, so they made a decision to have her play the piano.
Thanksgiving night at 7:30 PM ET, RFD-TV will air To Joey + Rory, with Love a special celebration of her life and music.
"I don't fear anything because I'm so close to God and we've talked about it so many times", he told the newspaper. "Some came out smiling and full of joy and a few came out hurting and having a hard-time catching their breath". Because there was nothing left to do medically, Joey chose to stop treatment and enter hospice care, where she could spend the rest of her days with her family and friends.
"She [Sandy] wrote that song by herself and she wrote it about her mother who was dying". "I pray that one morning I just don't wake up". Their band, Joey + Rory, formed in 2008 after taking third place on CMT's "Can You Duet", and went on to win an Academy of Country Music Award in 2010.
Among the friends who said goodbye was Thomas Travioli, who helps the Feeks maintain their farmhouse.
Feek's husband and co-singer Rory shared a video of Feek and IN in the event of their daughter turning 21 months old earlier this week. "I know he's close". It's connected to her faith in God. "And then she told them of the day when they'll be together again in Heaven". The twosome share a baby girl collectively, Indiana, & their Christmas wish is for Joey to see it by way of to their daughter's 2nd birthday in February. In that moment, I knew, that if there was a way - if Russell's bus could have been big enough - there would be thousands upon thousands of people on the bus trip up to see her... their hands around hers for the picture.
The Feeks request continued prayer for healing for Joey.
